Named for the dark night skies above back when shooting stars were “our only crop," Shooting Star Farm is a food forest of 50+ small fruit and nut trees, berries and more than 60 rows of mixed veggies.
Located in Port Townsend Washington, we’re surrounded by forests and farms in a rural-residential neighborhood, where people come to learn how to grow food through our CSA work-trade, edible plant sales, tours, classes, and internships (wwoofing).
We provide food for the neighborhood, and sell produce and plants to local growers, grocers, food banks in East Jefferson County, Wa. including Jefferson General Hospital Garden Row Cafe, The Food Coop and Chimacum Corner Farm Store.
Our longer-term mission is to provide a place of refuge where people can revitalize, refocus and thrive — especially during and after major illness, loss of loved ones, and other trauma.
Fresh, delicious, vibrant hand-selected locally-grown fruit and veggies.
Re-connect with yourself and nature.
Learn how to grow your own food.
Support our “constellation” of 18 families.
Reduce plastics, gas and inflation-prone transportation costs.
Shooting Star Farm is a place for people to learn how to grow food, connect with each other, and practice local self-reliance.
